“All eyes now on OPEC and its allies meeting on June 30, 2022...”

Stocks

U.S

Stocks jumped on June 24 as Wall Street recorded the first positive week after a three-week losing streak. The stock market appears to have found some stability, at least for the short-term. The S&P 500 was up 6.5%, while the NASDAQ Composite was up 7.5% and the Dow 5.4% higher.

Europe

The pan-European Stoxx 600 index on Friday June 24, closed up by 2.6% provisionally, its best day in more than three months, with tech shares adding 3.8% to lead gains as all sectors finished in positive territory.

Oil

Crude Oil rose last Friday June 24, supported by tight supply, although the price has been falling these last two weeks as investors are concerned that rising interest rates will cause a recession

All eyes now will be on OPEC and its allies meeting on June 30. It is expected they will stick to their earlier plan to accelerate slightly hikes in oil production in July and August, rather than provide more oil.
